MY IDENTITY

I chose to be a motivational speaker because I haven’t led an easy life myself. Born and grew up in Africa, married in a foreign culture, I have experienced diversity in my life. Life taught me many lessons. I have been through the worst and best of the times. We; humans desire strangely: we tend to achieve success without having to get out of our comfort zones in our lives. And that, my friend, makes it unachievable.

HUMILITY

“No matter how high you get, never forget where you started from.”

Life is not the same for all, I have seen it, and I still see it. No person started from the top. We all had to go through our version of grinding to achieve what we have today. I still see the determined little girl that I once used to be around me, sometimes at the mall in the form of a salesgirl while other times at the restaurant as a waitress. That is where I get my motivation from, to pursue my career as a motivational speaker, to reach out to more people like this.

COURAGE

“You get in life what you dare to ask for.” (Oprah Winfrey)

My mother was the biggest supporter I ever have had. After losing my mother, I could not imagine reaching to the point where I am standing today. Life is not always humble. It drags you out of your safe circle to give you a taste of what you can do for yourself. Always remember one thing, when life gets tough, get tougher.

APPROACHABILITY AND AVAILABILITY

“People may hear your words, but they feel your attitude.” (John C. Maxwell)

I get along with all kinds of people in my daily life, from tea boy to CFO. I shape myself to be the most approachable and available person on the table. I believe that if my kind attitude can make someone’s day, that would be the day’s most prominent achievement for me.

COMPASSION AND GENUINENESS

“Compassion and empathy are necessities, not luxuries. Humans can’t survive without them.”

Compassion is a God-gifted quality that was born with me. I believe that a person can forget everything except the way you treated him in hard times. Walking in other’s shoes is a skill that lets your audience feels that they are being listened to, makes them open up, and develops a sense of trust and understanding, which are very important for a mentor. In my career, I visited enormous places, went to many continents, including Australia, America, Europe, I have studied different cultures, and I have come up with multiple techniques that have proven effective for me in handling my clients’ cases.

As I have discussed above, I have a strong personality and passionate about mental health, personal development, mentorship, life coach, I decided to share my experience with others. Through this platform, I will share my personal knowledge and skills with you. I will provide you with information about motherhood, work and money, style, and wellness. My goal is to make you able to step out of the crowd. For more information, visit the other pages of my blog.

CONCLUSION

I come from a very humble background. I appreciate the little I have and take pride in who I am today. I wasn’t born with a golden spoon in my mouth. I have experienced the bumps in my life and learned from them. What I am is because of all the lessons that I learned the harder way.

Throughout my life, I believed that mentors/motivational speakers/life coaches are just idle people who keep on talking all the time. What do they know? Why would they care about my miser life? I got the answers when I became one myself. Sometimes I imagine how comfortable it would have been for me if I had a mentor to talk to, a life coach to guide me and support me through all my miseries. I want nobody to experience the same hardships that I have had in my life.  That is the biggest motivation behind becoming a mentor/life coach/motivational speaker for me in the first place.
